Life with God

My future is uncertain as far as the world's concerned,
But I have an anchor that never fails.
My hope is not in this life or in things I can touch or see,
But I'm walking towards a city that's promised for eternity.

This song is about how the hope and stay of my life is the eternal life that God has promised in heaven, which will be an even fuller and complete revelation of the life that I have with Him here.  When I mention walking down the road with my family I mean my church family.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, John 1:12

But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city. Hebrews 11:16

(Christians have been ransomed with Jesus' blood so we can go to heaven)
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering Hebrews 12:22 

For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Rev 7:17
