Am C7 G7 D / Dm C G
Our hearts long for you the living God
Our souls pant for you like streams of water
Through Christ we come into your presence now
Children coming to our loving Father
Hallelujah to the Great I AM
Hallelujah to the King of Kings
Hallelujah to our Savior God
As an offereing of love we sing
Bridge
Show us your great love, O God
Adn move us in your holiness and power
Your kingdom come, your will be done
Your church as one with you in love forever

Sunrise
Am C G
D Am Em
DCG
In your tender mercies
You sent the sunrise
Upon a life so dark
With your great compassion
You lifted my eyes
to see the beauty of your heart
Oh D, Am C (Em)
D Am C G
Though my face was downcast
Like a weeping outcast
The sun has dried my tears
For now I'm safe inside
Those arms stretched out wide
Where your love takes away my fears
Oh
So when the warmth of the sun
Shines down on this one
It melts my heart of ice
Though outside it's snowing
I'll keep on growing
For you breathe in me new life
the Favorite (F6, C G Am)
(2x)
The light shines in the darkness
And the darkness will not win.
For Jesus the son died for this one.
And took away my sins. Yes he takes away my sins.
optional repeat of first chorus
Wrote this one as I was quite moved by Luke 1:77-79 in particular the image in verse 78, in bold font below
"to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
